Visit us in Salon A, booth P12 to discuss your needs and challenges with our experts in metal powder and additive manufacturing.
Presenters
Eleonora Bettini, PhD, Senior R&D Engineer, Sandvik Additive Manufacturing is presenting "Metal Powders and Cemented Carbide for Binder Jetting".
Eleonora Bettini studied Chemical and Process Engineering at Bologna University, Italy, and completed a PhD in the field of Surface and Corrosion Science at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. She has experience in corrosion-resistant alloys, alloy design for the development of new alloys with improved mechanical and/or corrosion properties. She has been with Sandvik for more than 8 years and the past 3 years she has specialized in powder metallurgy, additive manufacturing with a particular focus on Binder Jetting.
Magnus Boström, PhD, Senior R&D Engineer, Sandvik Additive Manufacturing is presenting "Metal Powders and Cemented Carbide for Binder Jetting" with Eleonora Bettini.
Magnus Boström did academic research on production, phase equilibria and crystallography of intermetallic compounds until 2006, when he joined Sandvik working with solid state materials analysis at the Physical Metallurgy department, first as engineer and later as department manager. In 2015 he joined Sandvik Additive Manufacturing as materials engineer within the Binder Jet R&D group, where his work has been focused on process development of fully dense materials, using cemented carbide and Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) powders.
Paul A Davies, PhD, Technical Solutions Manager, Sandvik Additive Manufacturing is presenting "Titanium and Cobalt-Chrome for Medical and Dental Applications" with Bertram Dental Lab.
Paul Davies studied physics at Swansea University, Wales, U.K., and completed a PhD in the field of Material Science. He has five years’ experience working in the steel industry in the automotive and defense sectors and has been with Sandvik for more than 15 years. He specializes in powder metallurgy, with a particular focus on Metal Injection Molding and Additive Manufacturing.
