Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP)
Sandvik has considerable experience in the production of high-quality metal powders for use in the manufacture of components by Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP).
In addition to the established products used in this field, Sandvik can offer a range of powders with finer particle size distributions that deliver benefits to the finished parts, both in terms of the microstructure and the defect size. Operational practices have been refined and optimized to ensure that low oxygen levels can be achieved without the need for vacuum melting.
Osprey® HIP powders are available in the full range of alloys, including stainless steels, tool steels, nickel alloys and cobalt alloys.
